Weeksauce: For the price of one cup of $6 coffee

Wobbly wiggity welcome to the weekly wonder known as Weeksauce. My name is Conlan and I will be your guide. This week in interestingness is as follows.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 13 at the Starline you will see possibly the greatest 6-dollar show of the year: The Wooden Birds with Andrew Kenny (thanks to reader Jonah from The Laundry Room for reminding us of Kenny’s collab with Death Cab’s Ben Gibbard on the Home series). Plus Picture Atlantic and Fresno’s Greener By Color. Get all the info here (including link to online tickets). Please note: Doors are at 8pm. This is an hour earlier than the Starline usual. If you are in any way a fan of warm, folky, acoustic awesomeness, you’ll be kicking yourself (literally) if you miss this one.

Let’s see… what else is in the news? If you haven’t checked out the MySpace of Circles and Circles lately, do it now. These guys are one of our favorite local bands and they’ve got two new songs up for your ears. In fact, come to think of it, if you like Circles and Circles, you’ll probably like The Wooden Birds too.

We’ve added a few new shows to the page labeled “Shows”. Check them out, and we’ll be filling in details soon.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to call attention to our totally radical Contact page. There you can find an alternative to eyeglasses. I’m only kidding, it’s not that kind of contact. Use it to write to us. For example, if you have photos or a review (good or bad) of a Love The Captive show, send us the link and just maybe we’ll post it here on the blog. Or maybe you just have a general question or want to get my autograph. Contact us! We are so here for you people.

That’s all for now.

A little "add to calendar" plugin would rock this site. Maybe to work with either Google or Facebook.

Thanks for the comment, Irms. I've searched for a WordPress plugin that was easy to integrate with our calendar, but haven't had much luck. Any suggestions?

Which calendar plugin are you using?
