Monday

That’s today. Well, although it isn’t (yet) an official Love The Captive event, I recommend heading to Veni Vidi Vidi around 10pm to listen to our fearless leader DJ JohnnyQ spinning some lovely tunes just for you. It is FREE, so why not? I don’t have any insider info, but I wouldn’t be surprised if you heard a few tracks from artists you’ll be seeing live-and-in-person in the days ahead.

Tuesday

It’s everyone’s favorite weeknight at the Starline. We’ve been talking about this one a lot. You’ve got The New Limb, award-winning OC folkers, as well as Fresno favorites Greener By Color and more. Don’t miss it. (Also, congrats to Nick and Disney, our ticket giveaway winners. See you there!)

Thursday

Little Dragon! They’re back! It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for and all those similar clichés. Hurry up and get your tickets. There’s still time to save a few bucks. Then we’ll see you at Audie’s.

Friday

I don’t know. You figure it out. You can’t depend on me for everything. Start living your own life! But don’t live your own life too much, because we’ve got more cool stuff on Saturday.

Saturday

Are you going to see Jay-Z at the Save Mart Center? It should be a good time (if you like Jay-Z… and, really, who doesn’t?). The problem with big arena shows, as I see it, is they end too early. I mean, it’s Saturday night! We want to party until the sun comes up! Or at least until the city-mandated bar closing time, right? Well, lucky for you. Love The Captive is proud to present the perfect party to attend after Jay-Z (or even if you aren’t going to the concert). What makes it perfect? Why, because DJ Neil Armstrong, Jay-Z’s tour DJ, will be spinning the mad beats (as they say) at Aqua Shi immediately following his performance onstage with Jay-Z. Am I getting through to you? This is cool. Spend a couple extra bucks and make a real night of it. More details here.
